Origin: 
Thai native pig, can be found only in very remote areas. Some are raised by hill tribes. The Hailum, Kwai and Raad were prevalent in Thailand 30 years ago. They have been replaced by exotic breeds such as Large White, Landrace etc., and by cross-breeding. It is also stated that native pigs in the highlands of north Thailand may be classified into three groups, namely Small Black pigs that may be considered the same type as Raad breed, Black and White pigs that may be considered similar to Hainan and Kwai; composite of two groups
